Lincoln | K-9 Unit
Lincoln is a 3 ½-year-old Belgian Tervuren (long hair Malinois) from Slovakia and proudly serves as the first female police dog at the Irvine Police Department. She is trained in suspect apprehension, SWAT deployments, explosive detection, and tracking—making her a true multi-talent on four paws.
What makes Lincoln special is her gorgeous long coat, a rare trait among police dogs. Don’t let the fluffy look fool you though—when it’s time to work, Lincoln is all business.

Bodie | K-9 Unit
Bodie is an eight-year-old Belgian Malinois from the Netherlands, and all of his commands are in Dutch! He’s been serving our department for over six years and is highly trained in suspect apprehension and narcotics detection.
Trusted by our SWAT team and respected by his fellow handlers, Bodie is the senior K9 on our team—a true veteran partner who continues to set the standard.

Maverick | K-9 Unit
Maverick is a 3 ½-year-old Belgian Malinois from Germany, and all of his commands are in German! He’s trained in suspect apprehension and narcotics detection, bringing both speed and precision to the job.
Maverick is also specially trained to assist our SWAT team during high-risk suspect apprehensions—making him a vital part of our team and a trusted partner in keeping our community safe.

Zeke | K-9 Unit
Zeke is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois from Slovakia, and his commands are in Czech! He’s trained in suspect apprehension and narcotics detection, bringing drive and focus to every deployment.
Zeke is also trained to deploy with our SWAT team during high-risk operations, making him a trusted and dependable partner when it matters most.

Jacks | Service Dog
Jacks is an English Black Labrador Retriever who serves as a Support K9 for the Irvine Police Department. He is assigned to the Community Outreach Unit. He is also a member of our Wellness Team and interacts well with others, providing support and companionship to those in need.
Jacks loves treats and playing fetch.

Ronnie | Service Dog
Ronnie is an English Black Labrador and a Support K9 for the Irvine Police Department. Ronnie is assigned to Youth Services and loves to interact with kids. He is also a member of our Wellness Team.
Ronnie enjoys having his tummy rubbed and going to school. Ronnie makes everyone smile.

Captain | Mounted Unit
Captain is a 24-year old Appaloosa gelding who is owned by and has been serving as Sgt. Meyers’ four legged partner since 2017. He is 16.1 hands tall, and nearly solid black which is uncommon for his breed since Appaloosas are typically colored with a patterned coat of spots.

Dundee | Mounted Unit
Dundee is a 20-year old Quarter Horse gelding who is owned by and has been serving as Officer Hollenbeck’s four legged partner since 2018. He is 16.3 hands tall and considered a red line-back dun. He will happily eat any extra snack foods, especially French fries, potato chips and tangerines.

Marti | Mounted Unit
Marti is a 20-year old American Paint gelding who is owned by and has been serving as one of Officer Hollenbeck’s four legged partners since 2021. He is 15.2 hands tall and is affectionately known as ‘Marti the Party’.

Cruise | Mounted Unit
Cruise is a 19-year old Quarter Horse gelding who is owned by and has been serving as Officer Vandermooren’s four legged partner since 2023. He is 15.3 hands tall, sorrel, shiny as a penny in the summer and just about wide as he is tall.
